To whom it may concern: I feel funny writing that… because it seems as though almost no one is actually really and truthfully concerned with Lung Cancer besides people who are diagnosed, family members, caregivers, a small group of advocates, and the doctors and nurses who actually treat lung cancer on a daily basis. Sad right? In my book yes! See the truth is….Lung Cancer kills more people than breast, prostate, colon, pancreatic, and liver cancers COMBINED… Yet, it is the least funded of all of all major cancer. This is unacceptable and I will not let it hold me down anymore. Lung Cancer is the number 1 cancer killer of men and women in this nation. Text Message....

I just got a text from my godbrother who recently lost his grandmother to breast cancer, and I wanted to share it with yall. Josh said "Not sure if you meant it but in your stuff about lung cancer being forgotten in the last few days, you come off as very... I dont know the best way to put it but the most polite is probably desensitized to breast cancer. I get what you are trying to get across but other might not. It seems very close to, "Forget breast cancer. Thats not even the worst one." Just thought I would let you know so you dont allienate a potential proponent for awareness because they get turned off." I hope you guys dont feel that way. Here's my response, "I'm sorry if it comes across that way and anyone who knows me that I support all types of cancer! Celebrating Mom's Birthday at the Beach!

Whew!  It's been a few days since I have posted and that's because life has been pretty busy!  Thursday night I volunteered to help at JWA's Big Night Out! Robert couldn't attend because of stuff for work, so I thought it would be fun to volunteer instead and still meet my membership requirement. Always a plus! JWA is the Junior Women's Association of Greenville. We are working to affiliate with the Junior League national organization and hopefully that will happen in the next few years! I was a new member this year and I have enjoyed getting involved and meeting some amazing women! Here are a few pictures of the event! Heather and me-- Cant wait to meet her bundle of joy!
